Our History
Le Boat started operations in 1969, operating holidays along the Canal du Midi under the brand ‘Crown Blue Line’. From 8 boats, the business grew until, in the late 1990’s, it had a fleet of more than 500 vessels across Europe.
Meanwhile, Norfolk based, ‘Connoisseur’, was leading the way in self-drive boating holidays on the Norfolk Broads and ‘Emerald Star’ was doing the same in Ireland.
All 3 brands were brought together into one business in the early 2000's and now operate as Le Boat.
Le Boat is now the largest operator of inland waterways holidays in Europe, with an unparalleled fleet and base network, making boating holidays easy for everyone.
